What’s Hot : Antique & Estate Jewelry

Edwardian Opal Rose Cut Diamond Ring

The opulence of opals conjures up images of watery depths and fire and lightning. With a continual change of colors full of mystery and awe, an oval opal cabochon of approximately .68 carats dances a pas de deux of luster and shine with a surround of fourteen (14) rose cut diamonds of approximately .02 carats each in a hallmarked 14k yellow gold setting. The opal flashes with hues of neon green and tinges of red and orange in a never ending cascade of nature’s own palette of colors.
Column of Blue: Sapphire & Diamond Antique Ring

Set in 18k yellow gold, a trio of sapphires strikes a visual exclamation point as a stately column of blue radiance stands out among a garden of eight (8) old mine cut diamonds. The faceted natural sapphires (approximately .30 carats, .25 carats and .24 carats each for a total carat weight of about .89 carats) have been oval cut and display great life within their deep blue pools. The sparking diamonds, with a color range of H-I, vary in size and are about .03 points each, bringing the total diamond carat weight to approximately .25 carats. Gently rounded shoulders transition into a smooth band of 18k yellow gold.
Victorian Pink: Impressive Silver & Paste Pendant

The pendant was one of the more desirable neck ornaments during the later decades of the 19th century. Often it was worn suspended from a string of pearls, a gold chain or even threaded through a velvet ribbon.

This later Victorian pendant displays the lozenge-shaped design favored somewhat earlier by master jeweler Carlo Giuliano. Quite considerable in size, this impressive three-element articulated jewel is weighty and solidly constructed of silver.
Faceted and square vividly colored pastes of vivid peony pink accent the center and four cardinal points of the pendant as round white pastes are set within silver scrolls encrusted with small dots of white paste. A modified leaf motif wends its way throughout the pastes. Tiny white pastes outline a tear shaped drop that encloses a similarly configured paste gem of pink symmetrically balancing the original paste-set bale.
