If you have a wedding approaching, you know that it is going to be the happiest day of your life as you walk down the aisle. Until the day arrives though, you’re going to have a lot of preparation and plans to put in place to make sure that everything looks perfect on the big day. One important element for a wedding is the choice of jewellery, and this doesn’t just refer to the bride’s accessories….the bridesmaid jewellery is an equally important consideration.
So, the ultimate question really boils down to whether you opt for pearl bridesmaid jewellery or diamond jewellery. Or, it may be that you think cubic zirconia jewellery is the more suitable option, in which case you will probably save a lot of money with this purchase. Pearls and diamonds aren’t going to be cheap, but both would look perfect on the day, and that’s what its all about. That’s why, for many people, the only option for bridesmaid jewellery is a set of pearls or a row of diamonds. Now lets consider these options in more detail:
Pearls
If you’re opting for pearl bridesmaid jewellery, it is important that you choose a classic colour of freshwater pearl to complement the tone of the wedding. Black pearls, for example, might look stunning but they are not suitable for a wedding. Think feminine and what would suit all skin tones. A rich, lustrous cream pearl is going to be the best choice and it will look great with any colour of bridesmaid dress. Look for a triple row bracelet of pearls to add some definition and complement this with a set of pearl earrings. Pearl earrings will add some glamour to the bridesmaid’s apparel, particularly if she has her hair up for the day.
Diamonds
We know diamonds are pricey but they can look really good on a wedding day. The only thing you have to be careful with is to make sure the bridesmaid jewellery doesn’t upstage the bride’s pieces. This is very important, and that’s why pearls are often the preferred choice for bridesmaids because they are quite subtle and don’t detract from what the bride is wearing. If you would still prefer your bridesmaid to wear diamonds, then you need to find bridesmaid jewellery that isn’t ostentatious. Look for single solitaire pieces, or even consider the more cost effective option of cubic zirconia pendants to really add some sparkle. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not try looking for bridesmaid jewellery that has pearls and diamonds together? This would create a stunning look.
